The problem

LinkedIn hides one post. Kanso hides a kind of post.

Your feed mixes news from your network with formats that come round again and again. LinkedIn gives you two moves: hide a single post, or unfollow the person. What grates is a format, and neither move touches it.

Kanso reads what the author is doing rather than which words they used. "We’re hiring" is a job ad. "I’m looking for a role" is not.

I don’t want to unfollow my colleagues. I want to stop seeing their "Who agrees? 👇".

How it works

Three steps, then you forget it is there.

  1. You tick a few kinds

Sixteen of them, from job ads to engagement bait, plus topics of your own. Ticking and unticking takes effect at once.

  2. Kanso checks each post

As LinkedIn renders it. A post it has not judged yet stays veiled at a fixed height, so nothing jumps under your eyes.

  3. The post collapses

One line takes its place and names the kind. Nothing is deleted, and one click opens it again.

What it recognises

Sixteen kinds of post

Out of the box Kanso hides engagement bait and life lessons. The rest shows, and you take it from there.

Your call

What happens to a hidden post

One setting, three behaviours, one at a time.

Collapsed default
A single line replaces the post and names its kind. "Show" opens it again.
Removed
The post leaves the feed and leaves nothing behind.
Labelled
Everything stays visible, with its kind shown above the post.

Job seekers Pro

Job hunting? Turn your feed into a job board.

Keep only mode flips the switch. Instead of picking what to hide, you pick what to keep: tick Job postings and that is all that comes through, even the posts Kanso cannot place. Turn it off the day you sign.

See what Pro adds

Keep only is part of Pro, and Pro is on for your first two weeks.

Privacy

The AI runs inside your browser

Kanso has to read your feed to sort it. Laya, the model that reads each post, is small enough to work inside a tab: it downloads once, every LinkedIn tab shares the same copy, and it hands the memory back as soon as you stop reading. Your posts stay on your machine because nothing ever has to leave it.

  • Source available

Every line can be read and compiled, Pro included.

240 MB · the model downloads once when you install, then Kanso stops talking to the internet.

Questions

Something here does not answer your question?

Write to us

Does Kanso read my posts?

It reads the text of the posts your feed shows you, inside your browser, to work out what each one is. That text goes nowhere. The model runs on your machine and Kanso has no server to send it to.

What do I have to set up?

Nothing. Kanso downloads its model once when you install it, about 240 MB, and starts sorting on your next visit to LinkedIn. Two kinds are hidden by default and you change them from the popup.

What about sponsored posts?

They are never hidden, whatever kind they look like. That is a product rule, and it does not change on any plan.

Does it slow LinkedIn down?

The model loads once and all your LinkedIn tabs share it, and it frees the memory as soon as you stop reading. If it fails to answer, nothing is veiled and your feed shows exactly as it would without Kanso.

Is Kanso connected to LinkedIn?

No. Kanso is an independent project with no link to LinkedIn Corporation. It publishes nothing and never acts on your behalf.

Is Kanso open source?

The source is open to read, build and change, and you may use Kanso at work. The licence is Fair Source (FSL-1.1-Apache-2.0) rather than an OSI one, so the single thing ruled out is reselling a competing product. Each release turns into Apache-2.0 after two years.

What happens if I stop paying?

Kanso goes back to the free version. The sorting itself is untouched: you keep the 16 kinds, the three behaviours and the local model. The advanced settings close up.

What exactly does lifetime mean?

Lifetime means the life of the product, model updates included. No duration is promised: if development stops, the version you installed carries on hiding, because it runs on your machine. We commit to no length of time, and it is written here so that it is clear before you buy.

Can I get a refund, or cancel?

30 days, no questions asked. If a LinkedIn update stops Kanso from hiding anything, fixing it comes before everything else, and your subscription is extended by however long it was out. Past 14 days, a pro-rata refund, with nothing to justify. Cancelling takes one click from your Lemon Squeezy account.
